Determining how much SR a celestial creature has

I am taking celestial servant which is an aasimar feat. It gives my animal companion celestial template. My question is how do I determine the SR that my animal companion will have? The template states CR + 5, but what is my companion's CR?

I am playing a lvl 3 nature oracle, aasimar. So my mount progresses faster than normal animal companions. So now I wonder shld we determine the CR by my character lvl or Hit Dice of the animal companion? Is a rule of thumb on determining CR?

I am hv been looking ard but thr no FAQ on this.... I wld say it would be fair treat the animal companion like NPC warrior, so is Hit dice - 2, then adjust based on size and if more than 5HD

Celestial Creature (CR +0 or +1)

Celestial creatures dwell in the higher planes, but can be summoned using spells such as summon monster and planar ally. A celestial creature's CR increases by +1 only if the base creature has 5 or more HD. A celestial creature's quick and rebuild rules are the same.

Rebuild Rules: Senses gains darkvision 60 ft.; Defensive Abilities gains DR and energy resistance as noted on the table; SR gains SR equal to new CR +5; Special Attacks smite evil 1/day as a swift action (adds Cha bonus to attack rolls and damage bonus equal to HD against evil foes; smite persists until target is dead or the celestial creature rests).

Celestial Creature Defenses
Hit Dice Resist Cold, Acid, and Electricity DR
1–4 5 —
5–10 10 5/evil
11+ 15 10/evil

I think Hit dice - 2, should be about right.

Btw, why does your mount progresses faster than normal animal companions?

In short:
Your character level or your effective druid level= your CR for the purposes of determining a celestial companion's SR

For favored class oracle for aasimar, u get +1/2 level for determining a revelation ability.
So I chose bonded mount to be the revelation that gets this benefit. So if I am lvl 4 oracle, the mount is counted as eff Druid 6 animal companion.

animal's companion CR = the character's effective Druid level unless otherwise stated.
