Summary
The PCs are dispatched by the Pathfinder Society to aid Skelg, a fellow member of the organization who is suffering from a terrible freezing curse. When they reach the Ulfen warrior's villa, they discover his guards are replaced with warriors loyal to his mortal enemy Bengeirr, under orders to prevent anyone from aiding Skelg until he succumbs to the freezing curse. Once they deal with Bengeirr's lackeys and entreat with the slowly freezing Skelg, the party learns that Haldyr holds the key to his cure; the Beacon of the North. They must track the vengeful Bengeirr to his warehouse hideout on the docks and battle him for the frigid magical beacon.
Once this is done, they pass through a magical tapestry in Skelg's estate, transporting the party to the deck of the frozen funerary ship. There they battle the undead Haldyr and his slaves and entreat with Natalya, the only one who knows how to break the freezing curse. If they cannot convince her to aid them, Skelg is lost.
Muster location: Games Garage
Pathfinders in expedition:
Lv 1 Aasimar Oracle - Zuril
Lv 1 Dwarf Fighter - Borgrim Steel
Lv 1 Half-Orc Fighter - Grimnor
Lv 1 Elf Rogue - Merisiel
Actions of note:
Co-ordinated strike on a warehouse. Merisiel was spying at the rooftop, while Borgrim and Grimnor swam underneath the ship door and entering the warehouse, whilst Zuril was outside distracting the lookout outside the warehouse. Co-ordinated strike comes in with the "commando" at the top attempting to snipe Bengeirr, while the "Naval divers" surfaced to ambush the Ulfen warriors in the warehouse.
Merisiel attempted a death from above, 30 feet from the ground by jumping off the warehouse roof ala Assassin's Creed style with her rapier. She seriously wounded the lookout but failed to kill him. Luckily, her agility saved her by reducing her falling distance which resulted in 3 points of falling damage to her stunt. Style points: 8.
Grimnor. First person to be killed by the GM due to two critical hits by a spiritual weapon and a lucky hit by a greatsword although he has the highest AC in the game.
Grimnor. Also the first Andoren to suggest using an unconscious Ulfen warrior to replace Skelg the Ripper as a "companion" when suggested by Natalya that she wants a strong human as a companion. The idea was thought of by Grimnor as the party contemplated sacrificing Grimnor as a likely candidate for her "companionship" although Natalya is an extremely attractive female. (Even though he's half-orc and hence, not a likely prize for her.)
