BACKSTORY

As far as Chidea remembers, she has always lived in a large, gothic castle that oversees a piece of land coined ‘Purgatory’ by the people of the hamlet that surrounds it. Located on the Shadow Planes, Purgatory is protected by a strange fog that engulfs the castle, and thickens at the boundaries of the land to keep away unwanted visitors.

Although born a human, Chidea had an unnatural development in her early years, changing her rapidly into a full-fledged Fetchling at a tender age of 4, allowing her to easily blend into the Planes of Shadows and effortless communicate with the denizens in it.

Cared and protected by the ruling Nosferatu of Purgatory, Chitsuki Massaki, a young, prodigy vampire (in terms of vampire years) and Master of the Castle; The fetchling had the blessing of living in idle-- and perhaps ignorance. While she occasionally attends some martial training held by the Guards Master, Kiyoraka Tsurome, Chidea found herself escaping the harsh training with her speed by the end of the day. Aside from Chitsuki himself, Chidea is otherwise close to the maid in charge, a unique white-haired and rainbow eyed changeling, Alicel SIn.

A birthday party was thrown for the Fetchling when she turned 13, which lead to the fog being temporarily lifted for a a day to welcome some influential nobles . Needless to say, there was most likely a surface reason for the nobles to meet up. But nonetheless, she met a few interesting figures in the party. [See relations for more information] However, horns were raised mid way, and the fog were raised once again rather abruptly.

Upon turning 18, while no party was held, Chidea was instead given the truth as a present by the Nosferatu himself, and a ring. Adventurers of the Material Plane, her parents were given a quest to obtain a ring from a cathedral in the Outer Sphere, Elysium. Taking this as their final adventure before retiring, Chidea’s parents took up the quest and adventured onwards. Unsure what happened after, the vampire told Chidea that the last that he had seen of her parents was when both her and the sealed ring was handed over to him before they disappeared and that was the last he saw of them.

Now interested in both the sealed ring and her heritage, Chidea had decided to enter into the Prime Material Plane to seek out the truth.

“If you want to return,” The Vampire had said before she left. “Return by your own power.”
