Summoning the Seekers who had just resolved the Alkenstar crisis, Marcos Farabellus needed them to once again resolve the Aspis Consortium crisis with the help of their informer.
Long story short, the Aspis Consortium have a hidden base run by one called Professor Kramolag, and when the Aspis mentioned that they wanted to clean it up, it is just a token effort as their priority is to gather all necessary information/research material and to scoot back into safety but Marcos is more suspicious than that, and luckily too, for he managed to garner some information on a hidden laboratory called Wingless Rock.
It was a little problem solving on the Seekers' part as Marcos gave them command of three Pathfinder teams, the Axe-Fixers, the Kernaug Group and the Scroll-Seekers (who is headed by the very famous Janira Gavix of The Confirmation fame). Three teams, three locations.
Firstly, Wingless Rock, primary laboratory, supposedly headed by Professor Kramloag.
Next up, Wirholt's Rictus, the laboratory supposedly destroyed by the Aspis Consortium, but from whence many aliens and psychic manifestations can be seen. Here, they assigned the Kernaug Group to investigate.
And lastly, the Uskwood site, the smallest laboratory of the trio, but whose defences are as yet untested. Here, the Seekers are confident that the Axe-Fixers are able to fix the laboratory and here is where they are sent.
Leaving only the Scroll-Seekers to accompany them to Wingless Rock.
With the experienced summoner, Than'nolic to teleport the entire team (including the Scroll-Seekers), the party reached Wingless Rock without any issue at all. Here, a short shenanigans in which Fei Xue removed the crossbow bolt from a woman guarding the lab entrance without her noticing at all showed us how much cheese is possible with Hellcat Stealth.
Opening the entrance to the secret laboratory, which has been concealed in the cliffside itself, the party found many scientists who are trying to escape, but the defence mechanisms of the place seems more intent on keeping things inside, rather than the scientists safe. Dispatching the Scroll-Seekers to interrogate the group, the Seekers went in which they found a horrible creature which predates the infamous demons of the Abyss, the Qlippoth. A careful word from Than'nolic banished the powerful qlippoth back to the Abyss and his magical words might actually have helped save a few of the Scroll-Seekers.
Researching the library found Anfernal and a few of the Seekers being offered power in return. Only Anfernal said yes and it transformed him into a being neither fully of this world, nor that of the Shadow Plane. And it is here that the adventure is on hold... Until next time, Seekers...
