I'm personally playing Chivalry, Guild Wars 2 and Might & Magic Heroes 6.
Chivalry: Not a bad medieval FPS. Weapons feel heavy and blows connect with a meaty thud if you do hit your enemies. Although you get new weapons as you level, a newbie can still kill a high level player with a well-placed blow. Recommended if you want medieval style combat!
Heroes 6: I've played through almost all of its campaigns and even though scenarios are generally the same stuff, I won't feel satisfied until I have cleared ALL the campaigns. Damn the story buff in me. I play games for the stories that they tell. I can't sit through playing multi-player with this though. Think it'll take too much time.
How about you guys? What are you guys playing today?

No games at the moment. All free moments are spent on reading 20dpfsrd.com ;D
Looking forward to... Neverwinter Beta, FF14:ARR Beta, The Elder Scrolls Online Beta..
I don't think I'll wanna touch SimCity, Tomb Raider or Bioshock Infinite at release.. probably wait a couple months later for discounts.
for Guild Wars 2, I'm on Sanctum of Rall. But not really active.

I'm on Crystal Desert too "RancidHall.8045" but I rarely play due to work. I just do the dungeon crawls and puzzle achievements, so give me a shout when yah looking for adventuring companions! HOMM6 was ok, but it just lacks that "greatness" factor for me. Was looking forward to Neverwinter... but man, the beta gameplay looks so disappointing still keeping hope for Elder Scrolls Online though. Shout out for everyone who started from Morrowind! If anyone likes the concept of massive orc slaying and cheesy one-liners, I recommend trying out "Orcs must Die" and the 2-player sequel "OMD2"! Universally well loved game (and de-stresser). For the RPG/RTS hybrid fans (and story lovers), check out "Spellforce" and "Majesty". For fantasy MMO games, check out "RaiderZ", highly recommend for action fans. Coming soon; Witcher 3 Dragon Age 3, nuff said... Won't talk much about non-fantasy games... until someone says something incredibly ridiculous! *ahem* cyberpunk *ahem* Who else thought "Diablo 3" and "Kingdoms of Amalur" let us all down... let themselves down, let the industry down, let their families down, let...

HOMM6 was easier, compared to the earlier editions. Hee... That's why I like it, so that I can quickly clear it and move on to the next game. Neverwinter... Hm... I think Chris would take a look at it. I know that Chris played on persistent worlds in NWN2. I have some reservations about Elder Scrolls Online though. Wonder how they are going to keep it attractive. The attraction for Elder Scrolls is being able to influence the world. With a MMO, whatever u do is pretty much restricted. I would be pissed if there are 100 Fighter Guild guildmasters running around. I would love to shout out... but I didn't start from Morrowind... Started from Elder Scrolls: Arena! Hehe. Oops, I just revealed how ancient I am. I like Orcs Must Die! Damn hilarious. I have Orcs Must Die 2 sitting in my computer. Is anyone playing it? I just need a kaki and we can kick arse! Witcher 3: I like the earlier witcher series... More sex scenes!!! I like the game for its mature themes. All too often, the developers treat gamers like immature idiots. Bioshock Infinite: I will probably wait for it too though. I have been playing D&D Online on the side, just to see at epic levels, what is the scale of the battles involved, especially for high level characters. Diablo 3: I was especially disappointed in the system. Ran through it 3-4 times and subsequently, the only difference is harder difficulty settings which produces better loot. *shrugs* Personally, feels that Blizzard are confused as to whether they are building a MMO or a multi-player game, what with the auction house and things. For single/multi-player games like Diablo, the enjoyment is in the leveling process and not in the grinding process. Diablo I and II, you can probably clear the hardest level without being at the level cap. For D3, you must be at the level cap and you must grind before you can clear the hardest setting. On top of that, your "enjoyment" comes at the level cap. Is this a MMO?

Unfortunately, beholder and mind flayer are licensed creatures. There, he's a hybrid in disguise. That is the benefit of play by forum.

how the hell can u play so many at once 0_o Er... those are just the games i posted for yesterday. There are a few more i didn't mention- those are slower/ much less active. In any case, its just a few posts a day for the more active PBFs. Maybe one post every few days for the less active ones. With a bit of experience, you learn to juggle... ;D

Never tried playing NWN beta. The fact that it's based on 4E turns me off, unfortunately.
Meantime, completed Heroes of Might and Magic VI including all its DLCs but it's not very satisfying as all campaigns seem similar towards the end. Still, it took me a good part of over 250+ hours to complete the game and its 8 campaigns.
Now, playing Overlord 2. Unlike the first Overlord where you must find an answer, Overlord 2 is more railroaded than the first, but whereas the first Overlord has some of its' puzzles all over the place, Overlord 2 made it much simpler. I guess I'm probably about 1/4 on my way in, but the Dark Tower and its modifications are extremely little compared to the first.
Planetside 2... Anybody playing? I'm currently on the Briggs Australian server with the Terran Republic. Any other players keen?
War of the Roses. Combat is slightly heavier, but as always, the higher level players will have better equipment, hence can last longer in combat, so it's slightly unfair...

Playing, Dota 2 and Simcity. Going to hop back into Mechwarrior online, when the game improves and more mechs are ready.
Waiting for Elder Scrolls Online, signed on for beta. And Total War Rome 2!
How is M&M 6? Wanted to try... but read the bad reviews... and decided to back off.

HOMM6 is easier, compared to 5, due to the ability to recruit your forces from all over. It's also easier as your resource productions are controlled by "Forts" or your City. All you need to do is capture the Fort and all the resources under that region is yours. Tactics wise... It's not much. As usual, sheer numbers win, and the skills are rather meh...
Whether you're playing Necromancers, Knights, Orcs, or Demons, the skill tree is very similar, so it feels rather bland after a while.

Tried HoMM6. Completely balked and regressed into a month of playing HoMM5 to get the experience out of my system.
"Finished" GW2 the month it came out. Couldn't find anything other reason to go back to it. Nothing is as fun as a Mesmer.
I saw KoA as I was scrolling down. My 2 cents: it lacked replayability, but otherwise a very intriguing game, like DA2.
As for OP, I currently play RE:6 when I have time to kill on weekends. Otherwise, I just hang around HoN and Scarlet Blade. If anyone needs a medic on Andromeda, holler.
Oh. I also play FPS like Killing Floor, TF2, L4D2 and Payday. So if anyone's looking for a gaming buddy, can try me. =)

So everyone seems to be playing / or have played, GW2, yet it isn't a favorite. Care to discuss where it falls short of being a worthwhile game? Tell me your pros and cons. And I'm curious as to why no one is playing WoW...

I used to play WoW. After ICC, nothing really felt the same. So I stopped. As for GW2, my personal discomfort with it is the fact that it no longer IS Guild Wars, if you know what I mean. It seems like an improved simulacrum but it feels like a step towards generic grinding.
Don't get me wrong, I love the new quest hub style but it just doesn't feel Guild War-ish anymore. More like a different MMO made using GW elements. Heck, even Eden Eternal felt better than GW2, play wise.

Bored out of my skull. Recalled that Steam had an old school RPG called The Legend of Grimrock. It's an indie company which produced this, but the first time I took the plunge into this game, it immediately took me back to the day I first played Eye of the Beholder 23 years ago. As I gain levels and explore deeper, the game just tightened its grip on my attention and never want to let go.
The game is basic, with no excuses. Just a straight dungeon crawl with a party of 4, fighting for survival, with Food and darkness being a problem at the later stages of the game. It manage to successfully capture the magic of old with a simple premise. Survival, and straight-on dungeon crawling. For those of you who are new to the old games, go ahead and give it a shot. Its relatively cheap and it might let you know how old fogeys like me manage to retain such a strong interest in games 23 years later.
